Meet Booker. A garden turtle who delivers the love of reading to children. Booker spends most days snoozing in fairy gardens, dozing beneath sleepy trees, or tucked alongside a well-loved sofa. 

To adults, Booker is a quiet, kind-faced garden turtle that sits peacefully in yards and homes around us. But Booker’s young reader friends know better. 

It is nightfall, when Booker comes alive! While children are sleeping, Booker leaves them books, notes of encouragement and reading ideas. He understands that reading isn’t easy and not all books are for everyone. That’s why he’s here. To start a conversation with young readers about books – all kinds – and help them discover books that make them happy and want to read. Booker encourages and supports young minds as they begin their journey of learning to read.
